Who We Are

How We Began

The concept of “Ministry in the Middle” began in 2004 while founder Samantha Clark-Childs was balancing major transitions within ministry, education, and family life. It stemmed from Ms. Clark-Childs noticing patterns of who and what women turn to for help when they are in crisis or transitional situations and how often they are rejected and treated as inferior because of their circumstances. As she poured into the lives of women as a Bible teacher, mentor, and discipler, she continued to develop a ministry that focuses on her passion for encouraging and empowering women through the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

What We Do

Currently, Ministry in the Middle hosts “Coffee, Tea, and Jesus,” a virtual Bible study fellowship and prayer circle. We also offer the following:

What We Believe

We believe that ministry makes the difference in empowering women to reach their fullest potential. Though we do not impose our Christian beliefs on those seeking our assistance, we consistently apply Christian principles and operate as a Christian organization, our basis being belief in the risen Savior, Jesus Christ.

Board of Directors

Samantha Clark-Childs, Board Chair
Samantha has spent the last 20 years pouring into the lives of women as a bible teacher, conference speaker, ministry leader, mentor and discipler. She is a mother and grandmother and enjoys spending time with her son and grandson just as much as she enjoys “pool table discipleship” or “coffee convos” that allow her to mentor and lead informally while building relationships that “go and do likewise.” She is a leader at her local church where she serves as a Bible institute teacher and facilitator, leadership development team leader, and minister. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University New Orleans and a Master of Christian Education degree from Dallas Theological Seminary where she is now pursuing her Doctor of Educational Ministry in Mentoring, Coaching and Discipleship.
